Following Master’s loving instruction to help the refugees, during October and November 2015, our Association members from Geneva, Switzerland have been working with the NGOs, Caravane de Solidarite, Geneve (Caravan of Solidarity, Geneva) and Giving a Little Something, to provide assistance to the refugees in any way we can. Through these two organizations, we have contributed winter clothes, children’s clothes, shoes and boots, and also approximately EUR 400 for blankets.
When the volunteers of the NGOs went to Slovenia and Croatia, they personally distributed relief items they collected. Seeing the desperate situation of the refugees there, they made more than one trip and our Association members continued to contribute and spread the word to help the groups collect more supplies.
The two NGOs are now heading to Greece where the situation is more critical. They are launching a toy collection for distribution to the children for Christmas.
We are very touched by the efforts of these groups that are volunteering their time and effort, and we are very happy to be able to cooperate with them as long as they are doing this.
